Guidelines

ATTENDANCE

  1. Leave is not permissible except under special circumstances.  Applications for leave written by the parent/guardian should be sent to the Principal/Vice-Principal well in advance.
  2. As regular attendance is an important element for successful work, a prior sanction of leave must be obtained.
  3. A student may not be promoted due to irregular attendance.  No student shall be eligible to attend the Final Examinations unless he/she has completed 75% of attendance counted from the beginning of the academic year up to the 1st of the month preceding the examination.
Recommendations to Parents

Parents are requested to take note of the following points

  1. That the students come to School regularly, punctually and dressed properly. School gates close at 08:30 A.M.  Students must be in before the gates close.
  2. That their sons have proper hair cut.
  3. That their children bring to School the text books and note books as per the Time-Table which should be properly maintained.
  4. That they make their children study at home regularly throughout the year which helps to develop proper study habits.
  5. The parents can meet the Principal, Vice-Principal and Teachers on any working day between 4:00 P.M. and 5:00 P.M.

Parents are also requested:

  1. To see the remarks written in the School Diary by the teachers.
  2. To write down their own remarks in the School Diary for the information of the Teachers.
  3. To check through the Books, Note books and Answer papers of their children, after every Formative / Summative Tests as the answer scripts are returned to the students.
  4. To mention the Name, Standard and Section of the student in all correspondence, addressed to the School.
  5. Not to visit or interview teachers during class hours without the permission of the Principal/Vice-Principal.
  6. To discuss all School matters in the School premises only and NOT in the homes of staff members.
  7. Not to allow their children to bring to the School any article not required for the actual use in the School. The School will not be responsible for their loss.
  8. The School does not assume the responsibility of any student once they leave the School premises after School hours.
  9. Parents are strictly advised to plan for any functions or programmes outside the scheduled/declared dates of the exams, and not to ask for leave from Examinations.

RULES OF DISCIPLINE

  1. Students must be neat in appearance and wear School uniform during School hours.
  2. Students must observe silence and maintain order at all times. Running and shouting in the School building is not allowed and when using staircases and corridors students must keep to the left.
  3. Students must bring a serviette/Napkin and a spoon along with their Lunch boxes. Students are not allowed to chew gum or consume eatables during the class hours.
  4. Students must take care of all School property. They must not scribble on walls or carve any thing on wood work. Any breakage or damage caused must be reported to the class teacher. The cost of repairs caused by damage to School property will be charged to the students / parents concerned.
  5. Care should be taken to keep the building clean. Litter should not be left lying about.
  6. Students are responsible to the School authorities for their conduct both in and outside the School. Misbehaviour in public street and transport will be dealt with strictly. No student should bring to the School more money than is absolutely necessary for transport etc.
  7. No collection of money for any purpose may be made in the School without the prior permission of the Principal/Vice-Principal. Gifts to staff members are not allowed.
  8. All students must attend the morning prayer, class prayer and singing.
  9. Cell phones, Electronic Pads and other Electronic items are strictly prohibited. They will be confiscated if they are found.
  10. Necessary disciplinary action will be taken against students perpetually misbehaving, disobeying the teachers and authorities, disturbing the smooth running of the class or the School as a whole. The Principal has every right to expel a student on grounds of indiscipline.

PRIVATE TUITIONS

Parents are requested to avoid meeting teachers at their residence and kindly note that engaging them for private tuitions is strictly prohibited.
